I'm Dreaming of.......

Hey Yall! Look what we got today! I love it! Dick and I drove over to Auburn around 11 to run a few errands and it had started to snow, but then turned to rain. As we headed home, we could see the snow accumulating and then all of a sudden, everything was white! We decided to stop off at our favorite lobster roll restaurant. Julianne said she would meet us there. So we had ordered our drinks and my phone rang. I could hear her talking to someone saying that she was calling her parents. My heart just dropped. I told Dick I thought she had had a wreck. No, no she assured me. She had just run off the road and was stuck. So we left the restaurant and headed home. Dick got the car unstuck. It just so happened that she took my car! We got home and ate and took a little snoozy. Then we got the Christmas decorations from the basement and attic and went to town decorating.

I need to finish decorating tomorrow and then need to vacuum and dust and get everything put away. Getting this done is such a relief. We are having a Christmas party here this year. Plus, my parentals and brother and his family are visiting for a few days. Rumor has it that Big Head Fred will be coming also. I will keep you updated.

I wish all of you could see how pretty it is up here when we have snow. It is absolutely gorgeous. Yall come visit, ya hear!

Wedding Day Pictures

Hey Yall! These pictures were taken in the church Rectory. Mary Ann and her bridesmaids got dressed there for the wedding. It is a historic house in downtown Georgetown and is gorgeous. Mary Ann was an absolutely beautiful bride!

The Turkey Dance

Hey Yall! We have had some visitors over the past few days. Turkeys! They have been walking around all over the golf course and in our yard. The other day, two of them were doing a dance out in the front yard. Do you think they were fighting over who would be our main course today?

Trip to Jackson.....New Hampshire, That Is......

Hey Yall! Just wanted to share some of the pictures we took of Jackson. It was really a beautiful place. Talk to you later! Tootles!

Happy Thanksgiving! Look Who Came to Dinner!

Hey Yall! Happy Thanksgiving! As you can see, Weezie came dressed for lunch! It was kind of quiet up here this year. Jamie and Lesley stayed in Kentucky and had lunch with her family. Chris went to Linley's parents home and was eating with them. So that left Julianne and Dick and me. And Weezie of course! It is amazing how fast the meal gets over with compared to how long it takes to prepare it! Julianne has just warmed her up a plate full for dinner. Dick has been putting up the exterior illumination. Not quite as much as Clark Griswold, but close. We were going to get the boxes of Christmas decorations up from the basement and down from the attic, but decided to wait till tomorrow. Whew!

And speaking of Clark Griswold......we will have the first viewing of many to come of Christmas Vacation. I looooooooooooove this movie! Looooooooooooove it!

I hope you all had a great day! Talk to you later! Tootles!

A Trip Down Memory Lane

Hey Yall! Is this not the most precious picture ever? I love this picture! It is my daddy and niece at Jamie and Lesley's wedding. Love it, love it, love it! And love them!

I can feel that panic feeling coming on. You know what feeling I am talking about? The one that comes before holidays? I am feeling overwhelmed and I haven't even started to list everything I need to do. I will need to be committed when I do that.

I have about a million and a half things I want, need and have to do around the house today, but (!) I have a hair appointment at 1:00 I will be going to. My roots are showing big time. Mary Ann and Justin's wedding is in 2 weeks so they need to be taken care of.

If I am going to Augusta for my hair appointment, then I will need to check out the Good Will really quick. Plus, I need to run into Target and the Christmas Tree shop so I will be getting home after dark. We are dark up here by 5. Thankfully, Dick has dinner out tonight.

I will download our trip pictures tonight. Until then....Tootles!
